Scenario 3

A young man just been released from prison after serving one year for a serious motoring offence has been found in possession of a blank firing pistol and 25 rounds of blank ammunition. The items were found in his bedroom.

A firearms examiner has examined the items and found the blank firing pistol to be an imitation firearm (colour blue), not readily convertible, and the blanks are live. What offences have been committed if any?
